The Systems Engineer II position at Raytheon focuses on the integration and analysis activities for radar systems, specifically the SPY-6 and GhostEye families of radars. The position requires strong communication skills to present findings to leadership and customers, and it is based on-site in Tewksbury or Marlborough, MA, with occasional travel required.

Responsibilities

• Development of concepts of operations for radar systems
• Radar processing algorithm development
• Radar software requirements development
• Statistical and numerical analysis of radar performance data
• Analysis tool development in support of problem identification and resolution
• Collaboration with Systems and Software Engineers to develop and implement solutions
• Present findings and solutions to Leadership and/or Customers

Requirements

• Typically requires a Bachelor's in Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics (STEM) and 2 years of prior relevant experience
• The ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. government issued security clearance is required
• U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance

Nice-to-haves

• An active and in-scope Secret US security clearance
• Experience with design, development, and analysis of radar system and software architectures
• Experience with signal processing techniques in complex propagation environments
• Design experience in radar system areas such as antenna, receiver/exciter, waveforms, digital beamforming, multi-sensor track management and data fusion
• Excellent written and oral communication skills
• Requirements development experience, including use of DOORS
• Experience with MATLAB/Python/C++
• Experience with technical writing and oral presentations
• Masters/PhD in a STEM field
