About the position
Aviation and Missile Solutions, LLC (AMS) is looking for an entry-level Electrical or Computer Engineer to develop radar models and simulation environments in Huntsville, AL. The role involves creating solutions for complex problems related to air and missile defense technologies, including radar systems and signal processing. The engineer will be responsible for writing technical documentation and supporting software development efforts.
Responsibilities
- Develop radar models and simulation environments to match threat radar intelligence assessments.
- Write technical briefings, design documentation, and test plans to support software development efforts.
- Model all aspects of radar sensors and functionality, including performance timeline and clutter mitigation.
- Conduct radar/weapons systems analysis, including probability of detection and waveform analysis.
- Develop algorithms for detection processes, waveform selection, and target identification.
- Support field tests, including radar equipment setup and teardown.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical or Computer Engineering from an ABET-accredited university.
- Graduating GPA of 3.5 or higher.
- Strong software development skills in object-oriented programming principles.
- Proficient in C++.
- Experience with Git is preferred.
- Experience working within Agile development processes is preferred.
- Ability to interact with and present to customers, coworkers, and management.
