This opportunity is a per diem position at Wellington Regional Medical Center, a 235-bed acute care hospital located in Wellington, Florida. The hospital has been providing high-quality healthcare services to the residents of Palm Beach County since 1986 and is accredited by The Joint Commission. The technologist will work under the direct supervision of the Radiologist and the Department Manager, delivering radiographic imaging to patients of all age groups. Responsibilities include performing diagnostic imaging and related procedures, applying appropriate patient care, and being available for 'on-call' duties. The role also involves cross-training and assisting in the orientation of others in the department. Responsibilities
- Deliver radiographic imaging to patients of all age groups.
- Utilize equipment and techniques to assist in diagnosis or treatment.
- Perform diagnostic imaging and related procedures to demonstrate anatomy and/or obtain specimens.
- Apply appropriate patient care and recognize patient conditions essential for successful completion of procedures.
- Be available for 'on-call' duties and arrive at the facility within thirty minutes of notification.
- Cross-train and float into other areas to meet the needs of the facility.
- Assist in the cross-training and orientation of others in the department.
- Recognize signs and symptoms of stroke and call a stroke alert overhead.
- Maintain currency in stroke knowledge by completing annual online training.
Requirements
- Current State of Florida license.
- Current ARRT registry in Radiology.
- AHA Healthcare provider BLS certification.
- Proficiency in computer skills.
- Fluency in English, both verbal and written.
