About the position

The Staff RN at Emanate Health is a professional caregiver responsible for the care and management of a designated group of patients. This role involves coordinating and implementing patient care tailored to the specific age and needs of the patient population served. The Staff RN ensures that quality care is delivered efficiently and safely, adhering to the unit's standards of care while utilizing nursing skills to assess and address the biophysical, psychosocial, environmental, self-care, and educational needs of patients and their families.

Responsibilities

• Assume responsibility and accountability for a group of patients for a designated time frame.
• Coordinate and implement patient care specific to the age of the patient population served.
• Ensure quality care is provided in an efficient and safe manner consistent with the unit's standard of care.
• Utilize nursing skills to determine the needs of the patient/family/significant other.
• Develop, implement, and revise the plan of care based on patient needs.

Requirements

• Current RN license in the State of California.
• BLS certification required.
• ACLS certification within 3 months of hire.
• NIH Stroke Scale Certification 'A' required within 3 months of hire/transfer for specific departments.
• Annual 8 hours of Stroke Education required for specific departments.
• One year critical care experience preferred.
• Excellent customer service skills.

Nice-to-haves

• Experience in critical care settings.
• Familiarity with the National Institutes of Health (NIH) Stroke Scale.
