About The Position

A Quote Engineer is a professional position that requires good written and verbal skills. The role involves developing quotes with material and labor costs. A Quote Engineer is a critical thinker with problem-solving skills, the ability to read blueprints, and possess the technical aptitude to understand assembly processes and develop labor times.

Requirements

Proficient with Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook)
Able to read blueprints
Knowledge of Inside Sales Systems and Procedures
Skill in decision making with respect to pricing strategies and labor processes
Interpretation of a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram (print reading) or schedule form
Demonstrate technical aptitude
Ability to process quotes quickly and accurately
Ability to quickly react in order to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists
Ability to manage internal and external customers in order to maintain the highest level of customer satisfaction
Problem solving where the development of new solutions, methods, or systems will result in a major impact on the company’s success
Implement own recommendations and see projects through to completion
Recommend and implement improvements to processes, increasing efficiency
Ability to communicate effectively by telephone and in group meetings and discussions
Ability to give and receive information accurately
Ability to follow directions and procedures accurately; to organize facts and figures; apply basic arithmetic, including addition, subtraction, multiplication, division, and averages
Attend or conduct meetings to negotiate, explain, persuade, or present information
Ability to multitask at a high level
Daily operation of a personal computer while sitting. May extend over 60 minutes at a time
Extended use of the telephone with headsets available
Must comply with TTM Export Control Policies and Procedures and all applicable laws including ITAR, EAR and OFAC

Nice To Haves

Bachelor's Degree or at least 2 years of related experience with PCB manufacturing
2 years' experience in quoting and/or purchasing knowledge, skills, and abilities required for the job
