About the position

Kenny Kent Chevrolet is seeking a Quick Lube Technician to join their team. The role involves performing routine maintenance tasks such as oil changes, tire rotations, and multi-point vehicle inspections. The technician will ensure that vehicles are serviced efficiently and in accordance with dealership and manufacturer standards, while also maintaining a clean work environment and documenting all work performed.

Responsibilities

• Perform oil changes, filter changes, and lubrication services as outlined on service tickets.
• Inspect vehicles and report any needed maintenance or replacements, including air filters.
• Check and fill fluid levels as necessary.
• Conduct multi-point vehicle inspections and document findings.
• Fill out follow-up stickers and adhere them to windshields.
• Maintain a clean work area and document work performed.
• Quality check work performed and ensure customer vehicles are kept clean.
• Attend training classes and stay updated on factory technical bulletins.
• Understand and follow federal, state, and local regulations regarding waste disposal.
• Work effectively with co-workers and management.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED required.
• General mechanical and maintenance understanding of automobiles.
• Ability to perform maintenance and safety inspections of automobiles and document findings.
• Effective analytical and communication skills.
• Eagerness to learn new technology, repair, and service procedures.
• Ability to operate electronic diagnostic equipment.
• Valid driver's license and clean driving record.

Nice-to-haves

• Some official work/center based training or technical degree preferred.
• One year in a service department preferred.
