Threat Tec, a leader in operational support and intelligence solutions, is seeking a highly skilled Quantitative and Qualitative Analyst SME to join our team in Tampa, Florida. This position is designated as Key Personnel and is integral to supporting the J5 decision-making process with advanced analytical expertise.

Responsibilities

  • Apply quantitative and qualitative analysis to the J5 decision-making process, developing and applying advanced mathematical and analytical models, probability models, statistical inference, simulations, optimization, and economic models.
  • Examine information to determine relevance, identify analytical methods, and provide actionable recommendations to address complex problems.
  • Provide recommendations for future component and Theater Special Operations Command (TSOC) doctrine, organization, training, material, leadership and education, personnel, facilities, and policy (DOTmLPF-P) capability solutions.
  • Perform pre- and post-event analysis for wargames, experimentation, concept development, and implementation of DOTmLPF-P changes.
  • Support collaboration with Military Services to enhance integration and interoperability between Special Operations Forces (SOF) and conventional forces.
  • Provide SOF subject matter expertise through all phases of project development.
  • Assist in implementing and integrating Modeling and Simulation (M&S) tools to support trade space studies, evaluating warfighter capabilities, solution designs, program recommendations, and overall capability performance.
  • Prepare and deliver briefs, information papers, and presentations using Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, PowerPoint, Word, Excel, Access).
  • Develop and maintain an electronic resource, including key points of contact, to ensure mission continuity accessible to all stakeholders.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in operations research, mathematics and statistics, industrial and systems engineering, economics, physics, or computer science.
  • Certified as an Operations Research/Systems Analyst (ORSA) (e.g., United States Air Force (USAF) ORSA Military Applications Course).
  • 5 years' experience as an ORSA supporting any DoD agency within the past 10 years.
  • Graduate of any senior service college (e.g., Army School of Advanced Military Studies, Joint Advanced Warfighting School, Naval Postgraduate School Defense Analysis Program).
  • 3 years of experience developing and presenting verbal and written products at the O6-level command staff.
  • 5 years' experience using Microsoft Office products (e.g., SharePoint, Word, PowerPoint, Access, Excel).

Nice-to-haves

  • Strong understanding of SOF doctrine, operations, and interoperability with conventional forces.
  • Experience with M&S tools and their application to capability evaluation and optimization.
  • Proven ability to prepare high-quality documentation and recommendations for senior decision-makers.
