About the position

The Quantitative Analytics & Model Development Analyst at PNC plays a crucial role in the Anti-Money Laundering Analytics & Modeling team. This position involves utilizing statistical techniques to analyze data, build and monitor models that detect and prevent suspicious account activities. The analyst collaborates with stakeholders to identify risk indicators and improve existing strategies, contributing to the overall success of the organization.

Responsibilities

  • Perform advanced quantitative analyses and model development to support decision-making.
  • Analyze and develop new model frameworks and refine existing models.
  • Conduct ongoing communication with model owners and developers during reviews.
  • Work with large datasets to create and monitor models.
  • Perform quantitative analysis and develop reports on model performance.
  • Conduct qualitative and quantitative assessments of models, including design and data integrity.
  • Use quantitative tools to measure and analyze model risks and limitations.
  • Prepare detailed documents for validation and regulatory compliance.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree or higher in a quantitative field.
  • Experience in programming using Python, R, SAS, and/or SQL (at least 2).
  • Critical thinking and problem-solving aptitude.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Experience in detecting financial crimes.
  • Familiarity with big data technologies like Hadoop and Spark.
  • Experience with data cleaning, transformation, and preprocessing.
  • Experience with building machine learning models.
  • Experience in banking or financial services.
  • Experience with anti-fraud and/or anti-money laundering modeling.
  • Experience with cloud platforms like AWS, Google Cloud, or Azure.
