About the position

The Quality Transformation Manager at Bechtel Corporation is responsible for ensuring compliance with master services agreements and internal procedures related to Supplier Quality, Expediting, and Delivery Management. This role involves overseeing quality and innovation initiatives, conducting internal audits, and leading causal analysis on supply chain quality issues. The manager will also focus on improving customer satisfaction through innovative solutions and enhanced collaboration across functions.

Responsibilities

  • Provide oversight and direction to the BSQE Quality and Innovation Specialists
  • Review and report on BSQE performance metrics
  • Perform customer surveys, internal and external
  • Identify, develop, roll out innovative solutions to improve BSQE performance and enhance customer satisfaction
  • Coordinate with Operations Manager and Manager of Regions to ensure personnel capability is regionally distributed to support project needs
  • Establish requirements for the development of dashboards to monitor performance and goal completion
  • Lead SWOT analysis for BSQE
  • Provide input to the Manager of Supplier Quality and Expediting on personnel performance
  • Participate in the evaluation of new technologies and tools for the improvement of BSQE Services
  • Produce owner of software that supports BSQE, provide input and prioritization of the maintenance and enhancement goals for the tools and interface with DSCS to drive integration of the systems
  • Lead causal analysis efforts for significant nonconformities and provide mentoring and guidance to BSQE personnel to perform causal analysis on routine vendor nonconformance trends
  • Participate in the proposal phase of project review to ensure supplier engagement, capability and risk review is identified early
  • Develop and roll out the training for BSQE Project Supervisors to perform engineering, customer and supplier engagements to reduce risk of defects at start of project
  • Supervise and provide guidance to the BSQE Risk Manager and monitor the use of FMEAs, SCRAs, Capability Assessments to support current and future projects
  • Deploy and/or lead Tiger teams on special projects to meet customer needs

Requirements

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree
  • 13 to 15 years of combined experience in Supplier Quality and Expediting or related field, or 17-19 years of experience
  • Must be a US citizen
  • Experience in causal analysis
  • Experience developing training material, leading classes, and assessing students' performance
  • Experience contributing to and developing procedures, process maps and desktop instructions
  • Experience working in a cross functional team to solve complex problems
