About the position

The Quality Technician will be an integral part of the Quality Operations team, focusing on ensuring production readiness at the Waukesha manufacturing facility. This role involves supporting quality processes both within the manufacturing site and across the Waukesha business unit. The technician will develop a comprehensive understanding of quality theories and practices, providing technical guidance and problem-solving expertise to deliver high-quality products while adhering to quality standards.

Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with technicians and cross-functional stakeholders to ensure quality readiness of manufacturing processes.
  • Support operations quality by ensuring the quality assurance of products, services, and manufacturing processes.
  • Act as a resource for quality assurance and quality control processes within manufacturing operations.
  • Perform inspections as required using multiple measurement and monitoring equipment.
  • Support the conformance of manufacturing processes, including product inspection and other quality activities, ensuring appropriate documentation and ISO compliance.
  • Identify quality-related issues and help coordinate the implementation of corrective and preventative action plans.
  • Support the control of non-conforming parts and the investigative and disposition process.
  • Act as a quality subject matter expert when developing corrective actions for observed quality and production issues.
  • Support both internal and external process audits to maintain ISO compliance.
  • Assist in managing supplier quality issues and work closely with supplier quality and sourcing teams to resolve quality concerns.
  • Ensure all quality reports and documents are accurately maintained and clearly communicated.

Requirements

  • 2 years' experience in a quality setting preferred.
  • Ability to use computer programs to create inspection reports.
  • Strong analytical, writing, and communication skills.
  • Proven history of completing documentation accurately, legibly, and timely.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications.
  • Flexible in changing priorities.
  • Strong collaborator who is a positive team player.
  • Autonomous, results-driven, and accountable for own actions.
  • Able to influence without authority and drive change at the quality level.
  • Demonstrated ability to multi-task and coordinate projects simultaneously.
