About the position
As a Quality Technician at Plastipak, you will play a crucial role in ensuring that customer specifications and the company's high standards of quality are met throughout the plastic container production operations. This position involves conducting quality inspections, engaging with associates about product conformance, and utilizing measuring instruments to evaluate product quality. You will be part of a collaborative team focused on producing the best quality packaging in the industry, with opportunities for growth and advancement within the company.
Responsibilities
- Conduct quality inspections of in-process products and finished plastic containers in the lab, on the production floor, and in the warehouse.
- Use measuring instruments to measure dimensions and performance criteria's adherence to customer specifications.
- Regularly engage with associates about product conformance.
- Grow your knowledge and skills through a wide variety of training and on-the-job experiences.
Requirements
- High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent.
- Minimum of one year of quality experience in a manufacturing environment.
- Working knowledge of quality control methods and approaches.
- Superior attention to detail.
- Ability to walk and stand on the production floor throughout the work shift with or without a reasonable accommodation.
