About the position

The Quality Control Technician is responsible for performing standardized qualitative and quantitative tests on work-in-process and finished products to ensure compliance with company and/or customer quality standards. This role will train for 2 months on a Monday-Friday 6:00a-2:30pm schedule. After training, the technician will move to their normal schedule of night shift working a 12 hr shift schedule from 6pm-6am on a 2-2-3 schedule. Flexibility to work overtime, weekends, and holidays as scheduled is required.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct organoleptic and analytical tests at various stages of compounding and packaging to ensure compliance with standards.
  • Submit samples for microbiological testing, maintain test results, and calculate batch adjustments for certain products.
  • Approve batches for packaging and conforming finished product for shipment and place non-conforming product on hold for further analysis.
  • Make corresponding inventory movements in SAP.
  • File and maintain retained samples.
  • Calibrate, clean, and maintain laboratory equipment and instrumentation.
  • Prepare reagents and solutions for use in testing.
  • Observe conditions and practices in compounding, packaging, and finished goods storage areas, making recommendations for improvement.
