About The Position

This role is designed for an individual who is analytical, proactive, and eager to understand how regulatory requirements and quality systems translate into real business decisions. The position supports regulatory compliance activities, e.g. Labelling revision, supplier documentation, and quality systems, while also contributing to process improvement, data analysis, and risk identification. The position will report to the Quality Systems and Regulatory Manager and is on site based at Pompeian Headquarters, 4201 Pulaski Highway, Baltimore, MD. with room for growth and opportunity.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Food Science, Biology, Chemistry or related discipline
  • 1-3 years of experience
  • Experience with ERP/MRP systems
  • Experience in manufacturing or high-volume production environments
  • Ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams (Production, Quality, Import, Sales, etc.)
  • Strong organizational, analytical, and communication skills
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
  • Detail - oriented with strong follow-through skills

Responsibilities

  • Review labels for compliance (FDA, Organic, Kosher, international as applicable)
  • Verify ingredient statements, nutrition facts, claims, and formatting
  • Support regulatory interpretation, artwork updates, and risk escalation
  • Respond to customer quality and compliance inquiries
  • Coordinate with internal teams to gather technical information
  • Maintain clear, traceable communication records
  • Maintain supplier documentation (specs, certifications, audits)
  • Support supplier onboarding and approval
  • Track document validity and manage renewals
  • Maintain documentation aligned with BRC, ISO, and internal standards
  • Support internal audits and compliance checks
  • Ensure adherence to company quality and regulatory requirements
  • Support certification programs (BRC, ISO, Organic, Non-GMO, Kosher)
  • Assist with audit preparation and documentation
  • Track and help close audit findings
  • Analyze quality data to identify trends, risks, and gaps
  • Support CAPA and process improvements
  • Provide visibility on packaging risks and production gaps
  • Ensure compliance with regulatory and environmental requirements
  • Align with company mission, goals, and values
  • Perform other duties as assigned
