About the position

As the Program Manager of Quality and Patient Safety at CHI St Vincent, you will oversee the facility's Quality Management, Patient Safety, and Performance Improvement activities. This role involves coordinating and facilitating teams to support key initiatives focused on clinical quality improvement, patient safety, risk reduction, and enhancing patient experience. You will serve as a resource for various stakeholders, ensuring compliance with accreditation and licensing requirements while utilizing your analytical skills to drive improvements in quality management and patient safety.

Responsibilities

  • Assist in the design, planning, implementation, and coordination of Quality Management, Patient Safety, and Performance Improvement activities.
  • Proactively coordinate and facilitate performance improvement teams to support key initiatives.
  • Participate in ensuring compliance with CMS HIQRP/HOQRP, TJC, Leapfrog, etc., data collection and reporting.
  • Facilitate development and implementation of data collection tools and processes.
  • Maintain current knowledge of accreditation and licensing requirements and serve as a resource to staff.
  • Assist with regulatory readiness and survey preparation activities.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree or five (5) years of related job or industry experience in lieu of degree.
  • One (1) year healthcare-related quality management/performance improvement experience.
  • Three (3) years clinical experience in an acute care setting.
  • Certified Professional in Healthcare Quality (CPHQ), or equivalent certification within 2 years of employment.

Nice-to-haves

  • Strong analytical ability to identify data elements needed for measurement and reporting.
  • Excellent communication skills for one-on-one and group interactions.
