In this position, you will have the responsibility of coordinating quality activities with the Project Manager and/or Project Superintendent to assure effective implementation of the quality program in effect for the project(s). You will review project documents and quality requirements and lead the project team in the creation of the quality risk assessment matrix. Implementing the project quality program as appropriate is a key part of your role. Additionally, you will administer welding performance qualification testing, document tests, and coordinate with any appropriate governing bodies. Establishing and maintaining quality and related documentation in support of the implemented program is essential. You will perform inspections to assure the quality of the work is in conformance with the project quality program and contract requirements. Locally coordinating quality activities with the Authorized Inspection agencies, regulatory bodies, and Owners is also part of your responsibilities. You will communicate quality requirements to subcontractors and monitor subcontractor quality activity. Finally, you will prepare reports, technical documents, procedures, and tests as directed by the Quality Systems Manager.
