Responsibilities

  • Complete training and perform material testing, chemical analysis, and inspection according to instructions to validate production processes and materials per qualified areas
  • Document characterization of the non-conformity for MRB disposition
  • Maintain proper inventory of lab consumables
  • Perform level 1 preventive maintenance of lab equipment to meet the maintenance schedule
  • Participate in quality training and assist in the training of new employees to the standard
  • Submit and support continuous improvement ideas in order to improve safety, quality, delivery and cost
  • Involved in the analysis of anomalies detected and provide problem characterization (5W2H)
  • Utilize basic tools such as 5 why
  • Team member/active participation in Level 1 QRQC (QRAP, Escallation, etc) in applicable area
  • Maintain the 5S in laboratory per the defined standard
  • Perform other related duties as required

Requirements

  • Ability to perform duties requiring kneeling, reaching, standing, walking, pushing, pulling, and lifting up to 20 pounds periodically
  • Ability to work in/near electro-magnetic fields created by high temperature induction furnaces
  • Vocal communication, hearing, and visual acuity are required for safety, direction, and the exchange of ideas in the industrial environment
