About the position

As a Quality Inspector at ADDMAN, you will be responsible for performing inspections of incoming materials, components, and parts to ensure compliance with specifications and quality standards. The Quality Inspector will also conduct in-process inspections during various stages of the manufacturing process and collaborate with the production team to address quality concerns and implement corrective actions. This role will perform functional and performance tests to verify product functionality.

Responsibilities

  • Inspect and test products based on internal quality requirements and procedures.
  • Support and participate in internal auditing activities as directed by Quality and Compliance leadership.
  • Maintain, test, and troubleshoot all testing instrumentation devices, and log calibration activities and records.
  • Document and report inspection results, non-conformities, and quality issues in a clear and concise manner.
  • Create data sets to be analyzed for production trends for indicators critical to quality.
  • Participate in QA training and support to factory personnel.
  • Support Inspection of incoming goods during receiving to ensure consistency and integrity of build material.
  • Use precision measuring tools and equipment to assess dimensional accuracy and other product attributes, including CMM and surface scanners.
  • Support higher level quality activities such as process auditing of both internal and specialty compliance agency processes.

Requirements

  • This position is subject to the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR) which requires U.S. person citizenship status.
  • Commitment to a safety culture where safety is the first consideration before starting any task.
  • High school diploma or equivalent; additional technical certifications or training in quality inspection is a plus.
  • Proven experience as a Quality Inspector in a manufacturing environment.
  • Familiarity with inspection techniques and equipment, such as calipers, micrometers, gauges, and CMMs.
  • Strong computer skills including Microsoft Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint; or the ability to learn quickly.
  • Ability to interpret technical drawings, specifications, and quality standards.
  • Effective communication skills to report findings and collaborate with cross-functional teams.
  • Strong attention to detail.
  • Ability to analyze problems, make independent judgments to initiate corrective action or resolution, and report results as required.
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision and prioritize tasks effectively.
  • Regular attendance and timeliness are an essential function of the job in order to avoid any disruptions in production and customer service.

Nice-to-haves

  • 3-10 years of experience in a similar role.
  • Minimum of 2 years in a manufacturing environment, preference in a quality role.
  • Ability to organize and to prioritize work based on business needs.
  • Multi-task and time management skills.
  • Strong analytical skills and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to listen well and to communicate simply and effectively.
  • Able to interpret part and assembly drawings.
  • Proficient with software including the Microsoft Office Suite.
