About the position

As a Senior Quality Engineer (QE) at SEGULA Technologies, you will play a crucial role in maintaining and upholding internal Quality processes and standards on the Production Line. Your primary responsibility will be to analyze both internal and external performance data, investigating any quality disruptions that may arise within our build teams. In instances where quality issues are identified, you will collaborate closely with design, supply, and other cross-functional groups to implement systematic improvements to our production system. The Production Quality teams are dedicated to ensuring that our products meet the high-quality standards demanded by our customers. This role will require you to employ sharp critical thinking and problem-solving skills, as well as strong interpersonal and teamwork abilities. You will need to ensure that the concepts we enforce within our production teams are accepted and understood at the highest level. Ideal candidates will possess a blend of mechanical aptitude and strong analytical skills, along with a passion for supporting team goals and a willingness to learn new concepts. In this position, you will be expected to implement containment and corrective actions while following up on quality issues. This includes facilitating responses to findings and managing Quality case documentation. You will lead effective problem-solving activities to investigate nonconformities and serve as a Quality liaison with support groups and cross-functional teams. Additionally, you will maintain appropriate quality performance documentation, such as charts and graphs, and communicate results to the Business Unit. Analyzing quality data to make recommendations for improvement focus areas and developing and implementing improvements via Kaizens will also be key responsibilities. Furthermore, you will support the ISO Quality system as requested.

Responsibilities

  • Implement containment, corrective actions and follow-up on quality issues, including facilitation of responses to findings and handling of Quality case documentation.
  • Lead effective problem-solving activities to investigate nonconformities.
  • Serve as Quality liaison with support groups and cross-functional teams.
  • Maintain appropriate quality performance documentation (Charts/Graphs) and communicate results to the Business Unit.
  • Analyze quality data to make recommendations for improvement focus areas.
  • Develop and implement improvements via Kaizens.
  • Support the ISO Quality system as requested.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in an Engineering or related discipline required.
  • 1-3 Years of Manufacturing experience required; Automotive preferred.
  • Experience in Problem Solving Methodologies required (Root Cause Analysis, Non-Conformity, Kaizen, 5W2H, Fishbone Analysis, HERCA, QPS etc.).
  • CQE (Certified Quality Engineer) and/or Six Sigma Qualification a plus.
