About the position
The Hospital Quality Data Specialist collects, analyzes, coordinates, and reports hospital performance data to support quality and safety improvement initiatives and regulatory compliance.
Responsibilities
- Collects, analyzes, and coordinates hospital performance data
- Collaborates with clinical teams and leadership to ensure data integrity and timeliness of data submissions
- Identifies trends and drives improvements in patient care and safety
- Supports hospital compliance with reporting requirements based on Joint Commission, CMS, and UT Health-based quality compliance requirements
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in a related field (e.g. healthcare administration, public health, statistics)
- 2+ years of experience in quality improvement, data analysis, or a related field
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet deadlines
