Baker Hughes is seeking a Quality Control Technician to join our Chemicals team in Pasadena, TX. This role is essential in ensuring the quality of production materials through rigorous analysis and data interpretation. The technician will be responsible for maintaining and operating laboratory equipment, as well as keeping accurate records of all laboratory activities. This position requires a proactive approach to reporting data and maintaining documentation, which is crucial for compliance and quality assurance. Additionally, the technician will provide technical support to production staff and may be assigned special projects that require a thorough review of processes and procedures. The Quality Control Technician will work on a Dupont 12-hour rotating schedule, which requires flexibility and adaptability. Candidates should possess a Bachelor of Science in a STEM field, an Associate's degree in STEM with two years of relevant experience, or a High School Diploma with four years of experience in a related field. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of two years of previous experience in a chemical manufacturing laboratory, along with familiarity with Laboratory Information Management Systems (LIMS) and SAP. Experience with Auto Titrators, FTIR, and relevant software such as OMNIS, Tiamo, and OMNIC is also desired, as well as a solid background in wet chemistry.
