About the position
The Quality Assurance Technician at Custom Foods is responsible for ensuring the quality and safety of frozen dough products. This role involves monitoring production processes, conducting investigations into quality issues, and implementing corrective actions to maintain high standards of food safety and quality. The technician will work primarily on the second shift and must be detail-oriented and self-motivated, with a strong commitment to food safety.
Responsibilities
- Monitor production processes to ensure compliance with quality standards.
- Conduct investigations into quality issues and initiate corrective actions.
- Perform root cause analysis and make recommendations for process improvements.
- Maintain accurate records and documentation related to quality assurance.
- Communicate effectively with management and production staff regarding quality issues.
- Manage allergen control processes and ensure compliance with food safety regulations.
Requirements
- 3 years of experience in Quality Assurance within the food manufacturing industry.
- Experience with SQF/BRC food safety systems.
- Strong math and record-keeping skills.
- Attention to detail and good communication skills.
- Problem-solving abilities and self-motivation.
Nice-to-haves
- HACCP/PCQI certification.
- Bilingual in English and Spanish.
