About the position

The Quality Assurance Technician at Walker SCM is responsible for ensuring compliance with the site's Quality Management System (QMS). This role involves documenting and reporting nonconformances, maintaining high standards of quality, and providing transparency to leadership regarding operational compliance. The technician plays a crucial role in overseeing the shipping process and ensuring the accuracy of process outputs.

Responsibilities

• Assist in overseeing the shipping process and document any nonconformances observed during operations.
• Ensure accuracy of process outputs as per established information.
• Maintain high standards of overall quality and process outputs.
• Ensure accurate reporting of relevant Business KPIs and metrics.
• Provide transparency to the Quality & Safety Manager and other leadership regarding any nonconformance discovered during operations.
• Proactively halt processes when a nonconformance is discovered that could escape the facility and communicate this to the Quality & Safety Manager and leadership.
• Report daily on the overall quality and compliance of operations, including nonconformances discovered, failure modes, and actions taken.

Requirements
