About the position

The Quality Engineering and Customer Assurance Manager at STRATTEC Security Corporation is responsible for overseeing the quality assurance functions within the Milwaukee operations. This role focuses on ensuring customer satisfaction through the implementation of contemporary quality engineering practices and serves as the Quality Management representative for IATF 16949 certification. The position requires collaboration with suppliers and customers to enhance product quality and compliance with industry standards.

Responsibilities

  • Manage the Quality Engineering and Customer Assurance function for Milwaukee operations.
  • Develop and implement quality systems in accordance with IATF-16949 standards.
  • Ensure product and process conformance to quality requirements.
  • Promote and implement quality initiatives to strengthen the Quality System.
  • Interface with suppliers and customers regarding quality-related issues.
  • Provide functional support and direction for Quality Engineering activities.
  • Conduct plant audits to meet business needs.
  • Coordinate with supplier quality functions to ensure compatibility with corporate quality systems.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree (B.S.) from a four-year college or university.
  • 5 to 10 years of related experience and/or training, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Experience in a team problem-solving environment with a customer base.
  • 6-Sigma black or green belt certification required; RED X formal education desired.
  • Knowledge of Statistical Process Control and GD&T.
  • Experience with automotive AIAG core tools such as APQP, PFMEA, MSA, and PPAP.
