About the position

Partner with Global Quality as VEG representative to enable end-to-end functionality from R&D to Commercial. The role involves partnering with other regional QA leads to support the VEG Quality strategy, establishing and maintaining strong stakeholder networks within VEG P&S, R&D, and Commercial, and maintaining strong connections with networks outside VEG Quality, such as Field Crops Quality, Flowers Quality, GM EAME, and GM Global. The position also requires assessing the status and functionality of QMS deployment within Vegetables, providing subject matter expertise to leaders and employees regarding planning and implementation of the QMS, and coordinating the regional Quality Ambassador network. Additionally, the role includes global responsibility for VEG audit planning and the VEG auditor pool, acting as an auditor of Syngenta sites and third parties, and being an active member of the Global Audit Core Team. The candidate will provide input to the business to demonstrate areas in QMS that are working well and areas that require improvement, promote a culture of quality and continuous improvement, and be responsible for the design and delivery of effective training programs. The role also supports the timely and accurate reporting of quality data and provides KPI reports to Leadership, ensuring that QM requirements are embedded within third-party activities.

Responsibilities

  • Partner with other regional QA leads to support VEG Quality strategy.

  • Maintain strong connections with networks outside VEG Quality, e.g., Field Crops Quality, Flowers Quality, GM EAME, and GM Global.

  • Ensure that QM requirements are embedded within 3rd Party activities.

Requirements

  • Understanding of seed production, processing and its requirements.
  • Quality Management experience.
  • Expertise with document management systems and databases; good knowledge of the Reliance system is a pre.
  • Knowledge on risk assessment.
  • Demonstrated proficiency in management of accreditations and external certifications (e.g., ISO, GSPP, SKAL, etc.).
  • Audit program design and implementation, including management of non-conformities.
  • Trained auditor.
  • Leading complex projects in a matrix organization.
