About the position

The Quality Assurance Coordinator is responsible for supporting the maintenance, development, implementation, and review of organizational systems to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and organizational quality standards. This role involves coordinating documentation related to regulatory cases, assisting during audits, and facilitating training based on organizational needs.

Responsibilities

  • Assists in gathering, coordinating, and tracking documentation and data related to cases opened by the Office of the Inspector General (OIG)
  • Works with the organization's network leadership staff to schedule and coordinate OIG interviews
  • Assists as needed during and after regulatory reviews and audits related to service provision and licensure
  • Tracks and enters reports into the DHS Critical Incident Reporting and Analysis System (CIRAS) as well as organizational incident reports and engages in documentation follow up as necessary
  • Assists in preparing reports and communication regarding OIG cases and CIRAS and incident reports
  • Participates in position-related external committees and workgroups as needed
  • Assists with organizational compliance and quality checks to assess compliance, identify trends, and make recommendations
  • Assists in developing and facilitating trainings as necessary based on identified organizational needs and topic area
  • Works collaboratively with staff, people supported and other stakeholders as requested and needed to address quality and or compliance related concerns
  • Completes training requirements to become a registered Qualified Intellectual Disabilities Professional (QIDP)
  • Maintains the Department of Human Services QIDP qualification status by completing required continuing education credits on an annual basis

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in sociology, special education, rehabilitation, counseling, psychology, social work, applied behavioral studies, elementary education, communicative disorders, gerontology, health education, human development or related human service fields
  • Minimum 2 years' experience working in a similar capacity or within a position that facilitates an understanding of the essential functions, including at least one year in a direct capacity with people with intellectual/developmental disabilities
  • Familiarity with Illinois rules and regulations related to the provision of CILA services
  • Strong administrative skills and detail-oriented with proven organizational skills
  • Superior communication skills, including strong writing and editing, relationship management, and external engagement
  • Ability to prioritize and self-manage projects from start to finish and consistently meet deadlines
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and Adobe
