Responsibilities

• Conduct on-site licensure inspections and comprehensive surveys of facilities.
• Investigate complaints and incidents related to abuse, neglect, or exploitation.
• Communicate findings clearly with facility staff and assist in developing corrective action plans.
• Complete detailed inspection reports outlining deficiencies and recommended remedies.
• Verify the correction of previously cited regulatory violations during facility visits.
• Perform quality assurance reviews of documents prepared by others.
• Occasionally testify at hearings or court proceedings regarding findings.

Requirements

• Must be a Qualified Intellectual Disability Professional (QIDP).
• Experience in conducting inspections and investigations in health and safety regulations.
• Strong communication skills for interacting with facility staff and reporting findings.
• Ability to write detailed reports and documentation.
