About the position
The QMHP-A Mental Health skill-building professional role involves providing immediate in-person responses to the intervention needs of individuals facing mental or emotional challenges in home and community settings. This position is part-time and contract-based, focusing on assisting individuals with mental health and substance abuse issues while ensuring compliance with care standards and regulations.
Responsibilities
- Establish open lines of communication for individuals with mental or emotional issues
- Offer assistance to individuals with substance abuse issues
- Provide prevention-oriented therapy
- Implement and review treatment plans
- Attend staff meetings, clinical supervision, and training as required
- Collaborate with additional treatment providers and placement agencies
- Ensure all documentation is completed in a timely manner
- Ensure compliance with regulations set by governing bodies and maintain standards of care according to PLS policies and procedures
Requirements
- Must hold a valid QMHP certification
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in a field related to human services (e.g., social work, psychology, counseling)
- At least one year of clinical experience providing direct behavioral health services
- Documented experience in the specific field of work
- Experience with implementing individual service plans
