About the position

The Quality Control Technician (QC Technician) at HIS Paint Manufacturing Company LLC is responsible for performing inspections and tests on raw materials, in-process products, and finished goods to ensure compliance with quality specifications and industry standards. The role requires a keen eye for detail, strong analytical skills, and a commitment to quality assurance, contributing to the overall quality management system of the company.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct routine inspections and testing of raw materials, intermediate products, and finished goods according to established quality standards and specifications.
  • Document and maintain accurate records of inspection results, test data, and non-conformance reports, ensuring data integrity and compliance with quality protocols.
  • Assist in the development and implementation of quality control procedures, guidelines, and best practices.
  • Identify and report any quality issues or non-conformities to the production team and management, recommending corrective actions as needed.
  • Perform calibration and maintenance of laboratory and testing equipment to ensure accuracy and reliability.
  • Collaborate with production teams to address quality concerns and support continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Participate in training programs to stay updated on quality control methodologies and industry standards.
  • Support internal and external audits by providing necessary documentation and data related to quality control processes.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent required; associate or bachelor's degree in chemistry, biology, or a related field is preferred.
  • Previous experience in quality control or laboratory testing, preferably in the manufacturing or paint industry.
  • Strong understanding of quality control principles, testing methods, and inspection techniques.
  • Proficiency in using laboratory equipment and analytical tools for quality testing.
  • Excellent attention to detail and strong problem-solving skills.
  • Good communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
  • Basic computer skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and experience with quality management software.
  • Ability to lift and carry heavy items (up to 75 pounds) and perform physical tasks as needed.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience with ISO 9001:2015 standards.
  • Familiarity with quality management software.
