About the position
The QAQC Technician - Water Meter Location Specialist is responsible for ensuring the accuracy of water meter locations using GPS technology. This role involves conducting quality checks and working outdoors in various weather conditions. The technician will be expected to work independently while adhering to safety guidelines and company procedures.
Responsibilities
- Locate Water Meters using GPS handheld devices to ensure accurate mapping.
- Conduct thorough quality checks (QAQC) to verify location data is correct and up to date.
- Walk 8-10 hours per day in various weather conditions and terrain.
- Work efficiently and independently while adhering to safety guidelines and company procedures.
Requirements
- Must be able to walk for extended periods (8-10 hours per day) outdoors.
- Experience with GPS technology and geolocation tools.
- Strong attention to detail and quality control skills.
- Must pass a background check.
- Must have a valid driver's license.
