Requirements

  • Requires the ability to read, write and perform basic math on a High School level.
  • High school diploma or equivalent is required.
  • Verbal communication skills with comprehension skills are required.
  • Must work with minimal supervision (self-directed) and function as a productive team member.
  • Must be able to comply with verbal and written work instructions and perform to meet production requirements.
  • Must have good listening and verbal communications skills.
  • Basic computer skills are required.

Nice To Haves

  • Knowledge of working machinery is preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

  • Complete a daily safety/preventative maintenance checklist on the equipment used.
  • Perform daily workplace exams on all mine sites at which work occurs.
  • Safe operation of pump trucks in the mines and on the public roads between the mines and plant.
  • Accurately follow instructions of the Mining Supervisor while operating equipment and assigned duties.
  • Keep accurate and detailed records of all discharge reports.
  • Keep accurate records of chemicals used and inventories.
  • Troubleshoot single phase and three phase pump controls.
  • Perform earth resistance and good conductivity checks.
  • Understand and perform basic electrical wiring functions.
  • Adhere to safety and environmental protocols.
  • Other duties as required and assigned.
