About the position
Novant Health seeks a full-time Pulmonary Function Technologist at Rowan Medical Center in Salisbury, NC. The Pulmonary Function Technologist utilizes best scientific evidence and nationally recognized diagnostic test standards to complete pulmonary function testing in a laboratory environment and at the bedside. The Pulmonary Function Technologist accepts responsibility, authority, and accountability for management and provision of care in accordance with the current policies and procedures.
Responsibilities
- Serves as an intricate member of the healthcare team at Novant Health by establishing an authentic personalized relationship with the patient and their chosen support system
- Collaborates with physicians and other team members to assess, plan, implement, and evaluate individualized respiratory plan of care that promotes optimal health
- Establishes an environment that fosters team work, team member engagement, and community involvement
- Demonstrates a commitment to leveraging diversity and inclusion in support of quality care
- Fosters a safe patient environment driven by the principles of 'First Do No Harm'
Requirements
- Graduate from an accredited school for respiratory care, required
- Two years acute care respiratory therapist experience, required
- Registered by national board of respiratory care, required
- RCP licensure in appropriate state
Nice-to-haves
- 4 Year / Bachelors Degree, preferred
- Two years experience in a pulmonary function laboratory, preferred
- Cert Pulmonary Function Tech or Reg Pulmonary Function Tech by NBRC (must have within 1yr hire), required
