About The Position

Public Areas Crew Members are responsible for the daily cleaning and maintenance of all public areas. This includes: restaurants, stairwells, walkways, restrooms, windows, snow removal and all other areas as designated by the Public Areas Supervisor. Crew Members are expected to promote a positive image of the resort property to guests and must be pleasant, honest, and friendly and should also be able to efficiently address guest requests and problems.

Requirements

• Can effectively working independently, and should comfortable working with little supervision
• Available for a first shift from 6am-2pm
• Able to work a flexible schedule including weekends and holidays.
• GED or High School Diploma preferred.
• Must possess a valid, unrestricted driver’s license upon hire and maintain throughout the length of employment.

Responsibilities

• Monitor building security and safety by performing such tasks as locking doors after operating hours and checking electrical appliance use to ensure that hazards are not created.
• Service, clean, or supply restrooms.
• Gather and empty trash.
• Clean building floors by sweeping, mopping, scrubbing, or vacuuming.
• Follow procedures for the use of chemical cleaners and power equipment to prevent damage to floors and fixtures.
• Mix water and detergents or acids in containers to prepare cleaning solutions, according to specifications.
• Strip, seal, finish, and polish floors.
• Notify managers concerning the need for major repairs or additions to building operating systems.
• Requisition supplies or equipment needed for cleaning and maintenance duties.
• Clean windows, glass partitions, or mirrors, using soapy water or other cleaners, sponges, or squeegees.
• Snow Removal from Public Areas to include using snow bowers, shovels and ice picks.
