About the position
The part-time Dentist position at CorrHealth involves providing dental services to patients within a correctional facility in Broomfield, CO. The role requires compliance with facility regulations and documentation for service monitoring. The Dentist is responsible for evaluating patient needs, providing treatment, and maintaining necessary certifications and training.
Responsibilities
- Examine, supervise, and provide dental care/treatment to referred patients at the assigned facility.
- Utilize standard precautions when providing dental care and treatment.
- Evaluate patient dental care required or administered, dental operatory conditions, and equipment in use.
- Make recommendations for patients needing dental care not included under basic health care services.
- Function as a consultant to the prison staff health care provider, if needed.
Requirements
- Current licensure as a Dentist within the state of employment.
- Graduated from an accredited school of dental medicine.
- One or more years' experience in general dentistry preferred.
- Current CPR/BLS certification.
- Current TB test (taken within one year).

- Experience in a correctional facility setting.
- Familiarity with HIPAA compliance and security regulations.
