About the position

Provide programmatic technical assistance to case management in the area of Psychotropic Medication; Serves as the single point of access for Volusia, Flagler and Putnam County psychiatric providers to obtain/exchange information.

Responsibilities

  • Serve as the single point of contact for Volusia, Flagler and Putnam County psychiatric providers for information sharing regarding client appointments and records.
  • Establish and maintain a uniform process to receive, document in FSFN, and file psychiatric records for all children.
  • Assist with obtaining and interpreting behavioral health records.
  • Build and maintain relationships with community providers in Volusia, Flagler and Putnam counties to increase the availability of medical records and psychiatric services.
  • Provide consultation and support to case management staff in the psychotropic medication process.
  • Maintain and monitor tracking systems and reports of psychotropic medications for children in Out of Home Care.
  • Review all psychotropic medication packets to ensure that they are in compliance prior to filing with Children's Legal Services (CLS).
  • Attend other meetings and participate in other agency initiatives as requested or required.

Requirements

  • Minimum of two (2) years working in the medical field and/or medical office, including knowledge of Medicaid, HIPAA and PHI.
  • Knowledge of Florida's Child Welfare system of care.
  • Demonstrated proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite: Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook; and FSFN.
  • Excellent organizational skills.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Ability to establish and maintain relationships with Case Managers, Providers and other staff members and members of the community as required.
  • Ability to work professionally with medical providers and other social service agencies.
  • Ability to work independently and with direct, onsite supervision.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality of sensitive data.
