About the position

The Psychotherapist at Vivent Health plays a crucial role in providing patient-centered behavioral health and wellness services within the Behavioral Health and Wellness Clinic. This position focuses on delivering high-quality psychotherapy, including individual, couple, and family therapy, while also engaging in administrative tasks that support the clinic's operations. The therapist will work under the supervision of the Director of Behavioral Health and Wellness, ensuring that patients receive comprehensive care throughout their treatment journey.

Responsibilities

  • Participate in the delivery of a variety of behavioral health and wellness services, including individual, couple, and family psychotherapy.
  • Conduct intake, assessment, treatment planning, and therapy throughout the care and discharge processes.
  • Engage in administrative tasks related to behavioral health services, including program development and financial/billing tasks.
  • Keep abreast of developments in the treatment of HIV and mental health/substance use conditions.
  • Ensure quality assessments and accurate diagnoses for mental health patients, facilitating referrals as necessary.
  • Prepare and evaluate treatment plans for assigned patients, focusing on improving their quality of life.
  • Act as a liaison between patients and their collateral contacts.
  • Prepare accurate and timely reports and documentation for patient records.
  • Maintain communication with specialized service providers to facilitate patient access and coordinate care.
  • Participate in staff meetings, supervision sessions, and continuing education events.

Requirements

  • An accredited Master's degree in Social Work, Counseling, or Marriage and Family Therapy.
  • Wisconsin Licensure as an LCSW, LPC, or LMFT.
  • Experience providing in-person, video-based, and telephone-based therapy.
  • Experience in providing behavioral health and wellness services, including mental health and substance abuse services.
  • Knowledge of and experience treating co-occurring disorders.
  • Understanding of best practices and evidence-based practices in behavioral health and wellness.
  • Demonstrated commitment to cultural sensitivity and accountability.
  • Ability to be flexible in hours.
  • Bilingual in Spanish is a plus.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience in HIV/AIDS care and treatment.
  • Knowledge of behavioral health programming for substance abuse services.
