About The Position

The Psychiatrist will provide psychiatric services to clients receiving care through Starlight Community Services, supporting individuals with complex behavioral health needs in community settings. This is a part-time, independent contractor role serving adults (18+) and older adult populations in a fully community-based program. Services are delivered in clients’ homes or within the community, addressing complex needs such as medication management, housing support, vocational services, and independent living skills. The average service intensity is approximately 10 hours per client per month, and at full capacity, the program supports a census of approximately 50 adult clients. Requirements

  • Doctor of Medicine (MD)
  • Board Certified or Board Eligible in Child and Adolescent Psychiatry
  • Clinical experience working with adults in residential or community-based settings
  • Current, active medical license in good standing with the state medical board
  • Valid DEA license
  • Current malpractice insurance coverage
  • Valid California Driver’s License and current automobile insurance
  • Must maintain a driving record that meets the company driver's eligibility policy.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with County mental health systems, child welfare, and/or juvenile probation services is strongly preferred.
  • Supervision for BBS hours for AMFT, ACSW, and APCC professionals (where applicable).
