About The Position

The Psychiatric Technician/Recovery Coach at Acqua Recovery is responsible for providing support and care to residents in a residential drug, alcohol, and mental health treatment center. This role involves coordinating activities, assisting in group therapy, monitoring residents, and ensuring a safe environment. The position requires a commitment to helping residents achieve their recovery goals and maintaining accountability and healthy boundaries.

Requirements

• High School Diploma
• Strong interpersonal skills
• Valid driver's license
• At least one year of sobriety
• Ability to pass a background check

Nice To Haves

• Experience in addiction recovery or mental health support
• Certification in CPR or First Aid
• Experience running group sessions

Responsibilities

• Aid in basic care of residents.
• Coordinate residential activities and assist with general needs of residents.
• Assist in group therapy and patient education.
• Continuously monitor residents to maintain a safe environment.
• Transport residents to meetings, activities, and appointments.
• Uphold rules to maintain resident accountability and establish healthy boundaries.
• Assist nursing staff with dispensing medications and obtaining accurate vitals.
• Document information accurately and timely, including completing rounds and reporting findings.
• Monitor and record residents' progress to ensure goals are met.
• Report status of residents to Supervisor and perform all charting as directed.
• Perform other duties as assigned, in alignment with experience and scope of practice.
