About the position

Responsibilities
- Provide nursing care to adult patients in a behavioral health unit.
- Monitor and assess patient conditions and report changes to the healthcare team.
- Administer medications and treatments as prescribed.
- Utilize de-escalation techniques to manage patient behavior.
- Document patient care and progress in the electronic medical record (EMR).
- Participate in patient care planning and discharge planning.
- Assist with minor medical needs such as dressing changes and IV infusions.
Requirements
- Current RN License in Connecticut
- BLS Certification
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in behavioral health or acute care settings
- Familiarity with pharmacy software
- Ability to work night shifts
- Experience with electronic medical records, specifically Cerner or Epic.
Nice-to-haves
- MOAB certification
- CPI certification
- Experience with ECT treatments
- De-escalation skills
