About the position

The Psychiatric Rehabilitation Counselor (PRP) position at Family Intervention Partners involves providing mental health services to children, adolescents, and adults. The role focuses on delivering individualized rehabilitation plans through one-on-one sessions, documentation of progress, and collaboration with other mental health professionals. The position is part-time and contract-based, offering flexibility in scheduling and a supportive work environment that promotes professional development.

Responsibilities

  • Provide one-on-one weekly sessions for one hour focusing on one goal per week from the client's Individualized Rehabilitation Plan.
  • Document daily/weekly progress notes accurately and promptly within 72 hours of each visit.
  • Submit monthly summaries at the end of each month.
  • Conduct four visits per month for child clients and six visits per month for adult clients, either offsite or onsite.
  • Conduct or collaborate on two mandatory monthly onsite groups to help clients improve and maintain social skills.
  • Collaborate with the client's therapist, psychiatrist, and community resources every six months to support their mental health diagnosis.
  • Complete Daily Living Activities (DLA) for assigned adult clients every six months.
  • Create, review, and update the client's Individualized Rehabilitation Plan quarterly.
  • Attend and participate in mandatory monthly trainings, with free CEUs provided during these trainings.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in Human Services Field (e.g., Counseling, Psychology, or Social Work).
  • Minimum 2 years of experience working with children/adolescents with mental health diagnoses.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office, internet, and EHR/EMR systems.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • Strong time management skills.
  • Reliable transportation.
