The Psychiatric/DD Nurse position at Northwest Ohio Behavioral Healthcare is a part-time role focused on providing essential nursing care to psychiatric patients. The nurse will serve as a key member of an interdisciplinary treatment team, responsible for creating and executing individualized treatment plans tailored to the needs of each patient. This role involves observing, evaluating, and recording patient behavior, conditions, and responses to medications, ensuring that all documentation is accurate and up-to-date. As the charge nurse, the individual will initiate and direct psychiatric and nursing care, providing support to nursing staff while fostering a positive and safe environment conducive to recovery. The nurse will also facilitate group activities for patients, promoting engagement and therapeutic interaction. The position requires working various shifts, specifically on weekends, with hours set for Friday from 3:00 p.m. to 11:30 p.m. and Saturday/Sunday from 11:00 a.m. to 11:30 p.m. This schedule is designed to meet the needs of the patients while allowing for flexibility in work hours. The role is critical in ensuring that patients receive high-quality care and support during their treatment, contributing to their overall recovery process.
