About the position
As a Proposal Writer/Desktop Publisher at IAP Worldwide Services, you will leverage your technical writing and editing skills to create high-quality responses to requests for proposals (RFPs), statements of work (SOWs), and performance work statements (PWSs). This role involves collaboration with diverse teams and subject matter experts to ensure compliance with client requirements and deadlines, while producing documentation that supports various government and commercial projects.
Responsibilities
- Develop written content for government and commercial proposal efforts focused on GSS projects.
- Interview Subject Matter Experts (SMEs) to interpret solutions into compliant documentation.
- Follow document templates and style guides, as well as RFP instructions.
- Modify and maintain document and presentation styles using Microsoft Office and Adobe Creative Suite.
- Assist in final document assembly and production using Microsoft Word and PDF.
- Ensure compliance of all technical material to the RFP.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in a related area, preferably Civil Engineering.
- 5 years of technical writing experience, particularly in Federal solutions.
- 2 years of experience in proposal/document production/desktop publishing.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Project, Word, PowerPoint, Excel).
- Ability to interview SMEs and produce well-written documentation.
Nice-to-haves
- Experience working in a collaborative online team environment.
- Knowledge of Department of Defense (DoD) proposal development.
