About the position

The Property Manager will oversee the daily operations of residential and commercial properties, ensuring they are well-maintained and compliant with regulations. This role requires strong leadership, excellent organizational skills, and the ability to foster positive relationships with tenants and stakeholders in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

  • Manage the day-to-day operations of assigned properties, ensuring they are well-maintained and compliant with all regulations.
  • Handle tenant inquiries, complaints, and conflicts with professionalism and efficiency, utilizing strong conflict management skills.
  • Conduct regular property inspections to assess maintenance needs and ensure high standards of cleanliness and safety.
  • Oversee lease agreements, renewals, and terminations while ensuring compliance with local housing laws, including LIHTC regulations.
  • Maintain accurate records through data entry for tenant applications, lease agreements, maintenance requests, and financial transactions.
  • Develop and implement marketing strategies to attract new tenants, including upselling available units or services.
  • Coordinate with maintenance staff and contractors for repairs and renovations as needed.
  • Foster positive customer relationship management by engaging with tenants regularly to address concerns and enhance their living experience.
  • Utilize office software for reporting, communication, and scheduling purposes while maintaining professional phone etiquette.

Requirements

  • Proven experience in property management or a related field is preferred.
  • Strong knowledge of facilities management principles and practices.
  • Excellent negotiation skills with the ability to resolve conflicts effectively.
  • Proficiency in real estate administrative tasks including lease documentation and compliance checks.
  • Exceptional organizational skills with attention to detail in data entry tasks.
  • Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in a dynamic environment.
  • Strong communication skills both verbal and written.
