About the position
The Project Scanning Associate role involves collecting data on products in various retail environments, primarily grocery and drug stores. Associates will scan barcodes to gather information that helps assess and improve product performance. This part-time, temporary position offers flexibility in hours and independence in the workplace, making it suitable for individuals looking for a consistent job with some physical activity.
Responsibilities
- Perform in-store data collections by scanning barcodes of products using a downloadable app on a personal device.
- Work through stocked sections of products in stores, ensuring thoroughness and timeliness in data collection.
- Complete the project by working each week from January through March, depending on project requirements.
- Travel to different retail locations as needed, potentially up to 2 hours away.
- Maintain attention to detail while performing repetitive movements for prolonged periods.
Requirements
- Must be at least 18 years old with a valid driver's license.
- High school diploma or GED preferred.
- Ability to endure being on your feet for long periods and lift up to 25 pounds.
- Ability to reach 6 feet in the air and perform bending, stretching, and stooping movements.
- Reliable transportation with minimum state auto insurance coverage if driving.
