About the position

The Project Manager at Wayne Brothers is responsible for overseeing various industrial project sites, ensuring that all tasks are completed safely and efficiently. This role requires strong communication skills, the ability to build relationships, and a commitment to project management duties. The Project Manager will coordinate project activities, manage budgets, and ensure compliance with safety regulations while fostering a positive work environment.

Responsibilities

  • Inform construction administration of project management assignment.
  • Ensure procurement and/or completion of required bonding, insurance, project directions, project files, and business license requirements.
  • Schedule and attend pre-construction handoff meetings to receive project information.
  • Review building plans, specifications, and client contracts.
  • Analyze project risks and develop overall plans to complete contracted work.
  • Gather and organize information for future use, including contracted scope of work and project safety concerns.
  • Coordinate assembly of project budget derived from estimates.
  • Work with the Project Superintendent to prepare project schedules.
  • Conduct project Kick Off meetings with the project team to discuss project needs.
  • Coordinate material vendor selection and buyout process.
  • Ensure all required submittals are collected and submitted to the client for review.
  • Ensure availability of building materials, equipment, and supplies for the project.
  • Coordinate provision of adequate craft-level employees for job completion.
  • Monitor quality control and construction progress against budget.
  • Review information with the Superintendent frequently and analyze labor production rates.
  • Ensure compliance with safety manuals and regulations.
  • Assist Superintendents with troubleshooting on job sites.
  • Review invoices and project timesheets for correctness.
  • Analyze actual job costs and prepare progress invoices for clients.
  • Attend project coordination meetings and represent Wayne Brothers' interests.
  • Coordinate successful closure of assigned projects and conduct post-project review meetings.

Requirements

  • Minimal 2-year Associate degree in Mechanical Engineering Technology or related field.
  • 4-year Bachelor's Degree preferred.
  • Minimum 5 years related experience required.
  • Strong planning, organizing, and coordinating skills.
  • Ability to analyze and interpret data effectively.
  • Problem-solving and negotiating skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to motivate and work effectively under pressure.
  • Good math, geometry, and trigonometry skills.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience with project management software.
  • Knowledge of construction safety regulations.
