About the position

The project manager is responsible for projects from initiation to close, making sure the work gets done efficiently and satisfactorily. Major responsibilities include coordination of suppliers and subcontractors, scheduling, budget control, safety and customer satisfaction (General Contractor) and overall outcome of assigned projects. This is considered a full-time position.

Responsibilities

  • Analysis of actual productions and material costs vs. estimated costs.
  • Communicate with owners, architects and subcontractors related to project risk, timetables, costs/budgets, and change management.
  • Assist with compiling all Pre-Construction documentation.
  • Review and approve subcontractor invoices.
  • Prepare interim and final applications for payment.
  • Maintain digital project filing system per the company standards.
  • Plan effectively to minimize problems.
  • Provide pricing for any Bulletins, RFI's, ASI's etc., and work with estimators as needed.
  • Create PO's & write subcontracts.
  • Coordinate with superintendent and foreman to resolve issues & problems as they arise.
  • Process RFI's and follow up until they are efficiently resolved in a timely manner.
  • Process change documents.
  • Solicit subcontractor and material quotes.
  • Provide leadership in motivating the project team and maintain a positive work environment.
  • Ensure submittals are completed and approved in a timely manner with the help of the Project Coordinator.

Requirements

  • High school diploma; or equivalent. Relevant training and/or certification with a cost estimate/project management certification institute.
  • Previous estimating software experience is a plus.
  • Experience in Construction Management or related field is a plus.
  • Proficient in MS Office, Adobe and database management.
  • Manage own time and organize workload with minimal supervision.
  • Personable, honest, dependable, & detail oriented.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • Be polished and professional in interactions with fellow employees and customers.
  • Exercise sound judgment and demonstrate advanced problem-solving ability.
  • Travel is required up to 20% of the time for job site visits.
  • Minimum of 3-5 years' experience.
