About The Position

Participates in the conceptual development of a construction project and/or other maintenance needs and oversee its organization, scheduling, and implementation. This role involves working with contractors, property managers, and associations to plan, organize, and direct activities concerned with construction projects and/or maintenance needs. The Project Manager establishes project objectives, procedures, and performance standards, monitors and controls projects to ensure completion on schedule and within budget, and investigates potentially serious situations to implement corrective measures. The position requires representing the company in project/board meetings and managing the financial aspects of contracts to protect associations' interests while maintaining good customer relationships. The role also involves interpreting plans and contract terms, and formulating reports on work progress, costs, and scheduling.

Requirements

  • In-depth understanding of construction procedures, material, and project management principles
  • Proven experience in construction or project management preferred.
  • Property Management knowledge is a plus
  • Construction experience/knowledge
  • Sales experience
  • Good knowledge of MS Office
  • Familiarity with construction/project management software
  • Outstanding communication and negotiation skills
  • Excellent organizational and time-management skills
  • A team player with leadership abilities
  • Existing MN Qualifying Builder license or willingness to get license (Training Provided)

Responsibilities

  • Work with contractors, property managers and associations (including a Board of Directors and/or individual homeowners) to plan, organize and direct activities concerned with construction projects and/or maintenance needs.
  • Establish project objectives, procedures, and performance standards within boundaries of company policy and contract specifications. Confer with supervisors to discuss such matters as work procedures, complaints, and construction problems.
  • Initiate and maintain liaison with the Association and other contacts to facilitate project activities.
  • Monitor and control projects through administrative direction of on-site foremen to ensure project is completed on schedule and within budget.
  • Investigate potentially serious situations and implement corrective measures.
  • Represent company in project/board meetings and attend board meetings (as necessary and/or scheduled) for each association.
  • Work with contract administrator to manage financial aspects of contracts to protect associations interest and simultaneously maintain good relationship with the customer.
  • Interpret and explain plans and contract terms to staff, workers and clients.
  • Formulate reports concerning such areas as work progress, costs, and scheduling.
