About The Position

Southwest Electric Co., a division of SGB-SMIT Group, is a global transformer manufacturer with European roots, supporting the energy transition with reliable solutions for wind and solar power, industry and urban energy infrastructure. This role is for a Project Manager within the Distribution Transformer Division in Oklahoma City, OK, requiring 25% travel. The Project Manager will oversee complex, multi-discipline projects that span company divisions, providing comprehensive solutions to customers. This position is responsible for managing large projects and clients, leading teams to deliver results on individual or portfolios of smaller projects, and developing/maintaining customer relationships while managing contract terms for long-term business success.

Requirements

Bachelor's degree in business/engineering or 5 years of experience.
Strong Computer skills in Word, Excel and Power Point Required.

Nice To Haves

PMP (Project Management Professional) Certification
Background in electrical/mechanical products

Responsibilities

Manage the entire project life cycle from customer purchase order to execution and final closeout.
Interpret customer requirements and monitor contracts, specifications, and addendums to ensure project meets customer requirements.
Act as a focal point for customer contact after receipt of order, including visits, calls, and deliverables.
Fully coordinate and support customers during factory visits, which may require flexible working hours.
Participate in engineering and production planning meetings to ensure timelines are met and requirements are fulfilled, and organize problem resolutions.
Manage warranty claims.
Track the status of job materials as specified by procurement, engineering, or production in line with the project timeline.
Travel to customer sites/visits and industry conferences/meetings as deemed necessary.
