About the position
The Project Manager for Transmission Lines at Black & Veatch will oversee projects related to high voltage, underground, and overhead transmission lines, with potential involvement in substations and distribution networks. This role emphasizes project execution that significantly impacts communities, utilizing both innovative and established technologies in the electric grid sector. The position offers a hybrid work environment, allowing for flexibility between remote and in-office work.
Responsibilities
- Actively promote the safety culture.
- Respond to RFPs and prepare proposals for services and/or EPC work.
- Lead project team in conceptual design and procurement phases of substation projects.
- Manage schedule, budget, and scope of services and/or EPC projects.
- Interface between the client, external stakeholders, and internal stakeholders to ensure project success.
- Work in both corporate and field environments.
Requirements
- 7+ years of relevant industry experience or construction management experience.
- Experience with transmission line projects.
- Experience in multiple phases of project execution.
- Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or relevant degree.
- PE, P.Eng or equivalent professional license.
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.
