About the position

The Project Manager - Structural position at Dunaway Associates LLC is an entry-level role within the project management career track, designed for individuals with strong project coordination experience. The role focuses on managing smaller projects and supporting larger, complex ones while contributing to the design and production process. The position offers opportunities for professional growth, leadership development, and hands-on experience in structural design and project management under the guidance of senior team members.

Responsibilities

  • Independently manage small projects, ensuring tasks are completed accurately and on schedule.
  • Contribute to structural design and production, ensuring load paths are seamless and detailing aligns with design intent.
  • Provide QA/QC for projects in your area of expertise and seal work products where applicable.
  • Interact with clients to build strong relationships and address project needs.
  • Assist with resource scheduling and project financial processes, including billing and performance tracking.
  • Participate in proposal development and business development activities.
  • Support the execution of line-of-business initiatives and resource management.
  • Provide limited oversight for staff and assigned project resources.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • Proficiency with Autodesk Revit, AutoCAD, and Bentley software.
  • Strong technical knowledge of structural design and engineering.
  • Basic understanding of project financial metrics and performance tracking.
  • Excellent decision-making, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Effective problem-solving and time management abilities.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and recognize limitations while seeking support when needed.
  • 5-9 years of total experience in structural design or engineering.
  • At least 5 years of structural design experience.
  • 0-2 years of project management and client interaction experience.
  • Licensed as a Professional Engineer (P.E.) in the state of Texas.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience in overseeing technical staff is a plus.
