About The Position

Leidos is seeking an experienced Project Manager who is interested in supporting large information technology projects for our Utility Technologies Solutions team. In this role, you will be driving the execution and delivery of an IT project for our various electric utility clients. Additionally, you will ensure the successful delivery of projects while adhering Leidos' Mission, Vision, and Values. This position is responsible for planning, coordinating, monitoring, and implementing complex, large-scale SAP modernization projects to support organizational goals in the Centralized Service Business Group. The individual will oversee key aspects of the project management lifecycle, including planning, budgeting, scheduling, risk management, and execution. The ideal candidate will possess strong project management skills and demonstrated experience leading large-scale initiatives from strategy through implementation while coordinating internal teams, contractors, and vendors. This position is based in Newark, New Jersey. Qualified candidates must reside within a commutable distance and be able to work onsite at client offices three days per week.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Information Technology, Computer Science or related degree with 8+ years of experience as a Project Manager.
  • Strong experience managing integrated operational and IT workstreams across logistics and supply chain organizations
  • Experience coordinating cross-functional teams, dependencies, operational interfaces, and stakeholder management
  • Experience supporting Day 1 readiness, cutover planning, operational readiness, stabilization, and post-implementation support activities
  • Familiarity with warehousing operations, inventory management, logistics, transportation scheduling, and supply chain processes
  • Experience supporting Enterprise Asset Management (EAM), ERP, supply chain, warehousing, or transportation management implementations
  • Strong leadership, communication, facilitation, analytical, and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to work independently within a complex client delivery environment
  • Experience with SAP enterprise platforms required
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Project, Primavera P6, JIRA, Smartsheet, SharePoint, Microsoft Teams, or similar tools
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and adhere to data protection and company guidelines where applicable

Responsibilities

  • Lead execution and coordination of the Centralized Service Business workstream focused on Warehousing and Transportation Services within the EAM Program
  • Partner with Warehousing, Transportation, Supply Chain, Inventory Management, Operations, and IT teams to support implementation and Day 1 readiness activities
  • Manage integrated project plans, dependencies, interfaces, milestones, risks, issues, and action items across business and technology teams
  • Coordinate operational readiness, cutover, stabilization, and post-go-live support activities to support successful implementation and transition outcomes
  • Facilitate cross-functional collaboration across field operations, warehousing, transportation services, supply chain, and enterprise technology teams
  • Support governance activities, status reporting, escalation management, and executive stakeholder communications
  • Monitor project progress and proactively identify and resolve delivery, operational, and process-related risks and issues
  • Support implementation and stabilization activities within the existing delivery and EAM team structure
  • Coordinate testing, training, business readiness, and change management activities as required
  • Ensure alignment between business operations, technology solutions, and enterprise transformation objectives
  • Support process integration across service operations, inventory management, logistics, transportation scheduling, and asset management functions
